Acupuncture

Sophie is a fully qualified acupuncturist and graduating from the University of
Westminster with a Bsc (Hons) in Chinese Medicine Acupuncture, along with the
theory and clinical practice of Chinese Medicine, a significant part of her training
included Western medical science.

She works with patients with a wide range of conditions such as back pain, sciatica,
headaches, migraines, insomnia, stress, chronic fatigue syndrome, fertility and
gynaecological issues.

Her approach to Chinese medicine is pragmatic and person-centred. She engages with
each individual case, looking at all aspects of your health and lifestyle in order to
tailor your unique and personalised treatment. She draws on a variety of techniques
including needling with cupping and moxibustion, tuina massage, and
auriculotherapy. She offers dietary and lifestyle advice all based on traditional
Chinese Medicine theories to support and complement your treatment and
I aim at creating a supportive, calm and friendly environment.

As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), she is governed by their
codes of conduct and safe practice, and she is committed to continuous
professional development (CPD). She completed clinical practice at the NHS
Gateway clinic in London where she provided treatment for patients with chronic
pain and a variety of musculoskeletal problems.

She has undertaken training in Qi Gong Tuina Massage for Internal and
Musculoskeletal conditions and she also trained in facial massage and acupuncture
and completed the advanced auriculotherapy course led by Jim Chalmers.
She looks forward to making you experience the gentle but powerful healing
properties of acupuncture.

Sophie is available for appointments on Monday from 2pm till 6pm
